Hello and welcome to Wagtails After School Club.
About us:
Wagtails is situated within Wolsey Infant School. The club is run by manager, Anna, who holds an NVQ level 3 qualification in Playwork. Her team includes Sara Jane who has an NVQ level 2 in Playwork and is working towards her level 3 and Philip who is working towards his Playwork qualification.
Opening times:
Wagtails club is open from end of school to 6.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). The children are met by staff before club starts at a designated area in the school.
Please note: If school closes at 1.30pm (for example due to school holidays) we will collect.
Routine:
Upon arrival at the club, the children are given their tea and then play time begins. The club provides varied and challenging activities, ensuring that all play opportunities are offered at each session. Each child can choose what they would like to do and can join in activities, which at all times adhere to both equal opportunities and health and safety.
Activities can include dance and drama, face painting, games and puzzles, outings, recycling, homework, quiet corner, science club, cooking club, creative writing, messy play, quiz days, art and craft and DJ-ing and radio.

What Ofsted say about Wagtails:
"Children enjoy their time at the club and talk excitedly about activities as they plan for the future. The well thought out routine allows them to rest and be active according to their needs." "Children learn about different cultures and beliefs through activities, discussions and stories, and when they use resources that reflect positive images of diversity. This helps them develop a positive view of the wider world." Our latest Ofsted report is now available. Click below to view the report:
