Introduction

 

Welcome to Stanley’s After School Club.

About us:
Stanley’s is situated with the infant school hall at Stanley Park Infant School. The club is run by manager, Camile, who hold an NVQ level 2 qualification in Early Years and a level 3 Playwork qualification. Camile's staff, Ashley - who has his level 3 NVQ in Playwork, Simone has her level 2 NVQ in Playwork and is working towards her level 3.Jack has his level 2 Playwork qualification and is working towards his level 3.

Opening times:
Stanley’s club is open from end of school to 6.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays.) Our Holiday Club runs from 7.30am to 6.30pm during holiday times.
Both the infant and the junior children are collected by club staff at a designated area in the school.

Routine:
Upon arrival at the club, the infant children are given their tea and then they complete their homework. After homework, play time begins which is a structured activity or outside play. The Junior children are given the opportunity to play / complete homework first and have their tea afterwards.

The club provides varied and challenging activities, ensuring that all play opportunities are offered at each session. Each child can choose what they would like to do and can join in activities, which at all times adhere to both equal opportunities and health and safety. Activities include cooking, art & craft club, construction building, sports activities, messy play, jewellery making, face painting, dance club, science activities, role play area, quiet corner.

The staff to child ratio is 1 to 8. Due to our current staff ratio and the number of children we are registered for, parents may experience a waiting list for places.
