Welcome to Satellites After School Club.
About us:
Satellites are run from Startel Day Nursery in Wallington. The club is run by manager Alison who holds a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare and is working towards a Level 4 NVQ in Childcare. Alison's team includes Sue who is has a level 2 in Childcare and is working towards her level 3, who supervises the club and Verdin who holds an NVQ level 3 in Childcare.
Opening times:
Satellites After School club is open from end of school to 6.15pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).Our Holiday Club runs from 7.30am to 6.30pm during holiday times.
STOP PRESS! From September 2010 we now run a breakfast club from 7.30am until start of school.
Routine:
Sue and Verdin will meet and greet the children at a designated area before the "walking bus" comes back to club. The children are given their tea first and then invited to play throughout the rest of the session.
Our club provides varied and challenging activities, indoors and outdoors, ensuring that all play opportunities are offered at each session. Each child can choose what they like to do and join in the activities, which at all times adhere to both equal opportunities and health and safety.
Some days, weather permitting, on the walk back from school, the club will take the children to the park. Other activities can include dance and drama, face painting, games and puzzles, homework, quiet corner, science, cooking, creative writing, messy play, quiz days and arts and crafts.
