Welcome to our Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) section.
What is the Information, Advice and Guidance service and who can benefit from using the service?
Our IAG department is here to help our parents and guardians looking for information on the day care provisions we offer and for families already using our services, for individuals seeking advice on a career in childcare and help choosing the right childcare course and training route for them, or for employees or JACE students who need guidance on any aspect of their job role or training.
I am training with JACE or am an employee of the Jancett organisation, how can the IAG department help me?
Our IAG department is designed to offer confidential and impartial advice to our staff and learners on all aspects of your training or learning in the workplace:
- learning and training
- accurate and up to date information
- career choices and action planning
- personal development and progression routes
- confidential and impartial advice and support on issues affecting you
- change of direction, work or study options and qualifications
- returning to work or skills updating
- local learning opportunities
- particular learning interests or needs
- rights or entitlements to learning
- how to access specialist advice or professional career guidance
- advice on which agencies to contact (in-house or external) for specialist help or provision with your learning and training in the workplace
- signposting to external agencies who offer information or assistance with funding for your training (e.g EMA)
Learner Support / Speak to us in confidence:
If a learner or member of staff has a concern or any issue affecting them and would like to speak with someone in confidence, they can arrange an appointment with our Advice and Guidance Department by telephoning 020 8669 1725 and asking to speak with Anne or Gail.
I am a parent / guardian of a child in a Jancett nursery or Playsafe out of school club, how can IAG help me and my family?
As a parent or guardian with a child in one of our nurseries or out of school clubs, our Information, Advice and Guidance service offers:
- accurate and up to date information on every aspect of the day care provisions we offer
- access to our company policies and procedures, admissions policy, and our equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion guidelines
- signposting to more specialist help or assistance where required
- signposting to external agencies who offer information or assistance with funding for your childcare (e.g childcare vouchers, working tax credits)
Who is the external awarding body for the IAG service?
The Jancett Group were awarded the matrix Kitemark following in August 2008. Following the Matrix Accreditation Review in August, matrix awarded the kitemark both internally and externally across all three sections of the Jancett organisation and had this to say about the award:
"Wallington based organisation, Jancett Group of day Nurseries, Jancett Playsafe and JACE Training has been accredited with the nationally recognised quality mark for organisations which provide support to individuals to make learning and work more accessible and their employees - the matrix Standard.
