About Our Staff:

In compliance with Ofsted regulations and to offer all families who use our day care services, all Jancett staff who are employed to work directly with the children must have a clear enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau. Staff are required to give Jancett a full employment history and allow Jancett to request two references at least.

Managers and Lead Childcare Practitioners must be qualified to Level 3 in child care and have a minimum of 3 years experience.

All staff are expected to gain the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) certificate whilst in our employment.

Each nursery will also have staff trained in First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safety, and Safeguarding Children and Young People.

Several of our staff are currently working towards their Level 4 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development whilst others are moving towards their Early Years Foundation Stage degree.

Key Person:

We operate the Key Person system in the nurseries which emans that your child will always have one specific person who cares for, checks and plans his or her development.

This relationship starts at induction in your free settling in period.

Should you wish to book time with your key person, please make an appointment through the nursery manager.

Apprentices:

The Jancett Organisation has its own training section (JACE Training) hence the nurseries also have training childcare practitioners working in them. These apprentices are working towards the Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development and the Early Years Framework.
